This Privacy Policy explains how Priority Towing (“Priority Towing,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected through our website at prioritytow.com (the “Site”). It covers the Site only. It does not cover information you give us by phone, at our offices or storage lots, or in towing paperwork.
Information you give us
We only collect personal information that you choose to send us through the forms on the Site:
- Contact and service request form: your name, phone number, email address (optional) and your message.
- Send Location form: your name (optional), phone number, any location details or landmarks you type, an optional message and, if you allow it, your device’s GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude). Your browser asks for your permission before sharing your location, and you can say no and type your location instead.
- Job applications: the Site does not have an online job form. If you download our employment application and email it to career@prioritytow.com, we receive whatever you include in it and in your email.
Our forms include a hidden field that helps block spam. We do not ask for payment card numbers on the Site.
How we use it
- To dispatch towing and roadside service to you and find your vehicle.
- To call, text or email you back about your request.
- To review job applications you send us.
- To keep records of service requests and to protect against fraud or misuse of the Site.
When you submit a form, its contents are sent by email to our dispatch inbox. A copy may also go to our website administrator so form delivery can be monitored. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with others for their own marketing.
When we may share information
We share information only as needed to provide the service you asked for, with the companies that host our Site and email, when the law requires it (for example, a valid request from law enforcement or a court), or to protect our rights, our staff or the public.
Cookies, analytics and Google Tag Manager
The Site uses Google Tag Manager (container GTM-5C547G2). Google Tag Manager loads other tools, such as website analytics or advertising measurement, that may set cookies or collect information about your visit. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and how you reached the Site. We use this to understand how the Site is used and to improve it. These tools are provided by third parties, mainly Google, and their own privacy policies apply. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site will still work, but some features may not.
Maps and location
Our contact, police tow and service area pages show embedded Google Maps. The Send Location page may also load the Google Maps JavaScript service to show your location on a map. When a map loads, Google may collect information such as your IP address under the Google Privacy Policy.
Third-party websites
The Site links to services that we do not run, including Towbook (vehicle search), Jotform (3rd party release form), towlot.com (vehicle auctions), and review and social sites such as Google, Yelp, Facebook and YellowPages. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Children’s privacy
The Site is meant for adults who need towing or roadside service. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The Site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to form emails to the people who need them. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as card numbers or Social Security numbers through our forms.
Your choices
- You do not have to use our forms. You can call us instead.
- You can decline to share your device location.
- You can ask us to tell you what information we have from your form submissions, or to correct or delete it, unless we need to keep it for legal or business records.
- You can ask us to stop contacting you about a request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page.
